Information:
Son of Mr. Daniel and Mrs. E. Ledbury, of 1, Upper Union St., Gardens, Natal. Ledbury, a Clerk with the SA Railways & Harbours, was the son of Daniel J. Ledbury of 1, Upper Union Street, Gardens, Cape Town. He served with the 9th Infantry from 8 August 1914 to 13 August 1915 but as he did not leave the borders of the Union, he was not eligible for a 1914-15 Star. On 24 August 1915 he attested in the 1st SA Infantry Battalion and embarked at Cape Town on 20 September 1915.
