Cause of Death:
Killed in action, Blenheim IV Z7896, shot down by Zeros. Took off to bomb a Japanese Aircraft carrier. On return the formation ran into 60 Japanese fighters returning from escorting a raid on Ceylon. The fomration was attacked and a half hour battle resulted. Four of the aircraft were shot down

Son of Edwin John and Charlotte May Adcock; stepson of Mrs. G. E. Adcock, of Ladysmith, Cape Province, South Africa. Remembered on Diocesan College Roll of Honour. He attended Diocesan College 1929-37.
