Served with the Natal Troop Volunteer Corps in Rhodesia 1896; served as Trooper (#405) with the Natal Carbineers in the ABW; WIA at Lancer?s Nek 3 November 1899. Commemorated on Lych Gate, Newcastle Cemetery & St. Thomas' Anglican Church, Musgrave WWI Memorials.
