Cause of Death:
Died in Aircraft Accident, Spitfire VB ER215, when it hit the sea near Lake Lesina at approximately 12:00 Hours during a practice bombing sortie . Wreckage from the aircraft washed up with two bodies one of which was believed to be Wright . They were buried by the shore but heavy seas apparently later washed the graves away
