Cause of Death:
 Died of asthma attack. Serving at the UN base in Kabezi, Bujumbura Rural province. Upon experiencing health problems, he was immediately evacuated by ambulance to Bujumbura city. Unfortunately, the vehicle was stopped twice at roadblocks along the 15 km route to the capital. Each delay lasted about 30 minutes. One was a roadblock manned by the Burundi armed forces and the second one by the gendarmerie.
