He brought up one gun under an intense machine-gun fire, with which he overpowered at point-blank range the machine guns that were harassing, the infantry, who were then able to occupy the village. His conspicuous gallantry and, skill under heavy fire undoubtedly enabled, this successful result to be obtained." |
