Killed in action, flying on Sopwith Strutter as Pilot. In reconnaissance patrol over the Hindenburg Line near Cambrai with several aircrafts of the Squadron. Shot down during a combat against nine enemy aircraft. Five Sopwith Strutter of the Squadron were destroyed (five sustained the same fate the day before)
