Son of McIntyre Wilson Ingram and Freda Ingram, of Plumtree, Southern Rhodesia. Entered Plumtree School as a day scholar attached to Grey House in January, 1937. He was. a L/Cpl. in the Cadet Corps, and before leaving in December 1941, he passed his Cambridge School Certificate examination obtaining Matric. exemption. Employed in the Native Department for a short while before attesting for the R.A.F. On Plumtree School Roll of Honour
