Son of John Gregory and Norah Boyes-Varley. Husband of Laura (nee Percival) Boyes-Varley, of 54 Church Road, Urmston, Lancashire, England. Born Krugersdorp, South Africa 1890. Educated Saint Aidan's College, GHT ? 1900 - 1902; St Edmund's College , Standon, Hertfordshire, England 1903-1907. Obtained practical experience in South African mines, and studied electrical engineering at Westinghouse Works, Manchester; married 1912. Commemorated on Krugersdorp and Districts War Memorial.
