Served as Trooper (#59757) with Thorneycroft's Mounted Infantry 1899-1901 in the ABW. Served as a Farrier Sergeant (#1286) with Kitchener's Fighting Scouts 1901-1902. Commemoration stone in Durban (West Street) Cemetery.
