Son of M. A. Creed and the late Elvey S. Creed; husband of Olive Frances Creed, of Bloemfontein, South Africa. Educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown. Had served with Rimington's Guides in the Boer War, then between the wars he became Chief Inspector of Roads in the Orange Free State.
