Son of the late Arthur Penton and Sarah Anne Andrews, of Geytown, Natal. Born Utrecht, Natal. A bank official. Served with the UMR (Railhead Force) in North Africa; captured at Tobruk, Libya and shipped to a Fara-in-Sabina POW Camp in Italy. Commemorated on Greytown, KZN WWII Memorial.
