 Killed in action, missing, in Martin Baltimore Mk III #AG842. Hit by flak and then attacked by Bf-109 & C.202 when attacking Ju-52/3m on airfield. Last seen 15 km southeast of Bir Dufan # 2 L.G under control. Smoke was coming from the engine and the starboard engine had stopped. Possibly shot down by Major Muncheberg who claimed a Baltimore on this day for his 123rd kill.
