Son of Salomon and Elma T. A. Friendly, of Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa. The 139th (Jamaica) Squadron, a bomber squadron equipped with De Havilland Mosquito, carried out low-level raids over occupied territories and Germany. Jocelyn Friendly was navigator and the 139th Squadron was based at Marham. ***Jewish
