Entered Kriegslazarett 130 in Geraardsbergen on 16 April 1918 and died at 0530 on 24 April 1918. (Bundesarchiv B578_35642 nr. 1947). Originally buried at Geraardsbergen Communal Cemetery, German Extension, grave number 40. His son died in service in WW2
