Information:
Son of Arthur Barrett, of Bradford Prevell, Dorset, England. Husband of Mary Emily Barrett, of Braamfontein. After serving in the Boer war (also entitled to KSA) Edward Barrett served in German S.W.A. in 1915 with the 12th Citizen Battery. He re-attested for service in France and was wounded in action on 12th September 1917 and died later that day.
