Son of Kenneth Norman and Charlotte Kathleen Lambert, of Shabani, Southern Rhodesia. Entered Lloyd House in January 1935. He took a prominent part in swimming. After leaving in 1937 he went to the Bulawayo Technical School. He attested in the R.A.F. in January 1941, and proceeded to England in August. On Plumtree School Roll of Honour
