Killed in action, Lancaster NG145, Airborne 16:30 on 4 Dec 1944 from East Kirkby to bomb a target in Heilbronn. Believed to have been shot down by a night fighter (at 19:33 by Oblt. Peter Spoden of II./NJG 6) and crashed at Oberstenfeld, 15 km SSE of Heilbronn.
