Son of William Francis and Elizabeth Annie (nee Carney) Mapham, of Fair View, Hulton Street, Bedford. Husband of Emma Florence Mary (born Battiss) Mapham. Served as a Trooper with Nesbitt's Horse in the ABW 1899 ? 1902. A farmer. Served with Geyser's Commando in the Afrikaner Rebellion 1914. His father also served with Nesbitt's Horse in the ABW. Commemorated on the Bedford, Eastern Cape and Bedford Presbyterian Church WWI Memorials. His brother Walter Leslie Mapham also died in service
