Killed in action, S.S. White Crest was a British Cargo Steamer of 4,365 tons built in 1928. On the 24th February 1942 when en route from Cardiff on the 14th January 1942 and the 12th February for Buenos Aires, left Belfast 19th February 1942 carrying a cargo of coal and coke she was torpedoed by German submarine U-162 and sunk. Crew of 47 presumed lost
