Information:
Second son of the late J. Ramsay. Brother of Miss Jessie Ramsay, of Gezina, Pretoria. Brother of Mr. G. G. Ramsay, Mountain Dew Farm, Barberton. Born in Edinburgh in 1873, and attended George Watson's College in 1879-89. He was trained as a Chartered Accountant, but his health breaking down, he emigrated to South Africa in 1896. He served during the Boer War, and on the outbreak of the late war joined the S.A.I., with which he campaigned in German South West Africa. At the time of his death he was employed in the audit department of the Command Paymaster's office at Pretoria. On Barberton War Memorial
