Son of Dr. E. A. Seale, Fitzroy Street, Grahamstown, South Africa. Educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown. At College 1923-1925, went to Sherborne and New College, Oxford, where he took his degree in the Forestry School. He joined up in an A.A. Battery in England and was transferred to R.A.F. On Grahamstown Cathedral Parish Church memorial.
