OBE LG Sup 30 Dec 1941 - "In recognition of distinguished services in the Middle East (including Egypt, East Africa, The Western Desert, The Sudan, Greece, Crete, Syria and Tobruk) during the period February, 1941, to July, 1941", Promoted to CBE LG Sup 14 Oct 1943 - "In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in the Middle East" MC (with London Regt.) LG Sup 25 April 1918 - "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He made a reconnaissance of his company front through deep mud and waterlogged shell holes, though much exhausted before he started, under heavy fire. He promptly filled up a gap of 500 yards winch he found between himself and the company on his right, and also sent in valuable information."
