Served as Trooper (#984 & 3424) with the 2nd Battalion, Imperial Light Horse in the ABW 1899-1902. Served with the Durban Military Reserves in the Bambatha Rebellion 1906. Commemorated on Durban Cenotaph WWI Memorial. ***His record card states Church of England as religion but he has a Jewish headstone
