Son of Alexander and Caroline Will, of Durban. Born Durban. A tram conductor. Served as Private (#633) with the DLI in the ABW and served as Trooper (#282) with the NCVR in the ABW. Served as Trooper with Royston's Horse in the Bambatha Rebellion 1906. Served with DLI in GSWA 1914-1915. WIA at Delville Wood July 1916. His elder brother Alexander William WILL died in service of enteric fever (typhoid) in the ABW. Commemorated on the Durban Cenotaph; the Durban Corporation; St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Durban; St. Mary's Anglican Church, Greyville & the DLI WWI Memorials.
