Killed in a contact near Rogogo Airfield, between Mrewa and Inyanga. He died of his wounds while being casavaced by helicopter to Mtoko.

George was from California and quite Californian in style and manner always smiling. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. George was in the battle of Hue city.
