Information:
Son of the late James and Anne Alsop. Brother of Mrs. S. E. Edwards, of Cottesloe Beach, Western Australia. The late Mr. James Alsop served under General Buller during the Boer war and again in the German South-West African campaign as lance-corporal of D Company. He afterwards left for Egypt with the 3rd South African Infantry and in that country he was again in action. Eventually his company was ordered to France.
