On York Minster Panels. Elizabeth Edgar was a senior sister staff nurse with the Queen Alexandria's Imperial Military Nursing Service. She lived at 1, Grove Place, Redland, Bristol. She died at sea on 26 February 1918 aboard His Majesty's Hospital Ship "Glenart Castle", which was torpedoed by the Germans 40 miles of the English coast in the Atlantic. The ship was attacked contrary to the Geneva Convention. She had sailed from Cardiff, Wales, for Brest, France, the previous day to pick up casualties. Awarded Silver War Badge B46246
