Killed in action, Blenheim IV N3615, took off for a sweep of the coast of Holland. Shot down at 1220 hrs by flak-ship MFLA703 off the Hoek van Holland.

Information:
Son of William Ellerton Ryan Fry and Janetta Margaret Elizabeth Fry, of Somerset West, Cape Province, South Africa. B.Sc., Hons. (Lond.). Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a Probationary College Apprentice in January 1935 and returned as a College Apprentice in October 1938. When war broke out in 1939, he was living in Denmark and working in a brewery. He left for England leaving behind his Danish fiance Bodil, whom he would never see again. Joined the RAFVR in which he held the rank of Pilot Officer and was mobilised in September 1939. Later promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant. On Manchester, Trafford Park, Metropolitan Vickers Electrical Co. War Memorial. (now located in the Trafford Park Heritage Centre, St. Antony's Centre, Eleventh Street)
