Only son of William Hanslip Partridge (Paymaster R.N.) and Stateira Elizabeth Partridge, of 35, Royal Park, Clifton, Bristol, England. The South African Signal Company was the XV Corps Signal Company. From Early December 1916 to 22nd January 1917, its HQ was at Etinehem and its sections worked in Bray and Maricourt sectors, then in the former French sector (Combles, Maurepas, St Pierre Vaast Wood, Bouchavesnes)
