LG Sup 13 August 1942 - Immediate Award - "On 1 June 1942 this soldier was commanding a car on the Trig Enver Bey. He was sent to assist No. 3 Troop which was attacking 50 met coming from Meteifel. Seeing the direction of their attack he manoeuvred to cut off the head of the enemy column and in spite of very heavy Breda fire he put 18 shots from his 37 mm into the column while closing with it. His fire set three enemy troop carriers on fire and killed the driver of the leading lorry. This resulted in the breaking up of the convoy and freeing 48 POWs of 50 Division."
